One of the most colorful and vibrant eras in all of hanfu history, this Ode to Dunhuang 敦煌颂 Late Tang Buddhist Donor set made of 100% mulberry silk showcases the excellent fabric and dye techniques of the Tang.
Features a white silk lotus print Shan 衫 with wide sleeves, a common sleeve style for Late Tang base shirts.
With the textile industry booming during the Late Tang, we begin to see more experimental styles of dyeing, much like the Qixiong Ruqun 齐胸襦裙, or chest-high skirt. Dyed in striking yellow and red ombrés, horizontal bold stripes were a popular trend for noblewomen of the time.
The pibo 披帛, or shawl, is also hand-dyed with Tang ombré, creating a dimensional and ethereal outfit.

CLEANING INFORMATION
