Qilin 麒麟 Golden Unicorn Mamian Skirt

Within the thick satin fabric and creased pleats, lives a one-horned beast flying over seas and through clouds.
Although it may sound very similar to western unicorns, Qilins have a dragon-like body and are symbols of good fortune.
The horse faced skirt gets its name from its construction, similar to old war forts that were also called Mamian 马面 (horse face). The name stuck around due to its ease to wear while horseback riding.
Features woven brocades of lions within Chinese style clouds, inspired by classic historical Chinese artifacts.
The construction of the mamian qun 马面裙 contains 2 large front and back panels showcasing the art on the skirt, and many trapezoidal pleats on the sides. This creates a very flattering A-line silhouette without needing any petticoat!

CLEANING INFORMATION
Please hand wash carefully as to not ruin the embroidery, jewels, or buttons. Please air dry the clothes on a hanger. Hand washing and air drying also extends the life of your hanfu. For ironing, please use lowest heat setting or steam out the wrinkles.
