Let your color combinations run wild, the Taozi Guodong 桃子果冻 Peach Jelly Beizi Top & Poqun Skirt Set is simple enough for daily wear, without losing any historical fashion features.
The top, called Tang Beizi 唐背子 (short jacket), was a favorite layering piece for Chinese women of the 7th-9th century. The rounded V-neck collar is known as Chuiling 垂领, or "hanging collar" with a slight cross-collar front panel design. Closed by small glass buttons.
Exposing more of the neck and collarbone was a popular trend during the period, and helps elongate the neck! Long necks were a desired feature, often paired with tall hairdos for a more extreme effect.
Available in fresh, cute, and modern prints - these tops can pair perfectly with any bottom. Easily layers over other long sleeve shirts as well.
Eight-paneled Poqun 破裙, literally translated as "broken skirts", are shortened to a midi length for better daily wear. These flared skirts are made of many large panels of fabric, sewn together to create one whole skirt (hence the name).

- Peach Jelly, Gingko Paper, Wheat Flower, Red Wheat, Navy Leaf - 100% cotton (already preshrunk fabric)
- Jujube Branch, Maple Leaf, Urban Plaid, Grape Vine, Persimmon Piles, Lotus Pond - 15% nylon, 85% rayon (does not shrink)
- 8 Panel Poqun Skirts
- White & Dark Green - 20% nylon, 65% rayon, 13% polyester, 2% spandex
- Light Sage & Champagne Beige - 80% tencel, 20% nylon
- Skirt Lining (Dark Green skirt is unlined) - 65% rayon, 35% polyester
- White & Dark Green - 20% nylon, 65% rayon, 13% polyester, 2% spandex
- Skirt head is fastened with ties separately, please see detailed picture within photos.
- White skirts get red laces, other colors come with light yellow laces

CLEANING INFORMATION
Please hand wash carefully as to not ruin the embroidery, jewels, or buttons. Please air dry the clothes on a hanger. Hand washing and air drying also extends the life of your hanfu. For ironing, please use lowest heat setting or steam out the wrinkles.
