If you've ever wondered what professional dancers wore in the palaces of ancient China, now you can wear it! The Xizhou Qu 西洲曲 Song of Xizhou Ruqun Set is colorful, vibrant, and layered for hypnotizing movement.
Starting with the base layer, the Chuiling Shan 垂领衫 (dropped/drooping collar top). This top was the base for most outfits during the later 5th century, characterized by its deep rounded collar. Jacquard floral satin on the outside and lined with soft fabric for comfort, this top is available in light yellow or mossy green.
Add the show-stopping main top called Daxiu Ru 大袖襦 (large sleeve top). Ru 襦 was a popular style of top with a wide lower hem. This one features golden phoenix patterns from top to bottom, brocaded cuff and collar linings, and extra long sleeves for all your spinning needs! Top comes with a wide jacquard belt in matching color, but can be worn without. Available in burgundy red, light green, or pastel pink.
For the bottoms, no WeiJin Dynasty outfit is complete without the iconic Poqun 破裙 (broken skirt)! This style is a 12 panel skirt, each panel a different color for a beautiful striped effect. Willowy, breezy, and effortlessly comfortable - this style of skirt stayed for centuries for its simplistic beauty. Available in jade green, gray blue, or turquoise.
Finally for the ultimate pizzazz an imperial dancer needs, the Yu Xiu 羽袖 (feather sleeves)! These long and flowing arm cuffs could definitely be made with feathers, but it got its name for the winged look it gives the dancer. Each movement, each turn, and each spin were beautifully emphasized by the Yu Xiu 羽袖. The perfect accessory for adding more drama to each step.

Note that Chinese sizes are smaller than US sizes. To avoid wrong sizings, please refer to the sizing chart in the photos. Please measure in centimeters.
CLEANING INFORMATION
Please hand wash carefully as to not ruin the embroidery, jewels, or buttons. Please air dry the clothes on a flat surface or hanger. Hand washing and air drying also extends the life of your hanfu. For ironing, please use lowest heat setting or steam out the wrinkles.
